Meet the Team
Steve, Liz and Millie are a close knit family who loves animals. We have fostered animals for several years and for several organizations, which eventually led to us starting our own very small rescue. We have had great success finding wonderful homes for pets in need and have rescued everyone from cats, dogs, birds, small mammals and reptiles. Also, we continue to collaborate with several other rescue organizations.
Steve and Liz are both veterinarians and Millie is a natural animal whisperer.
Jennifer Lloyd
Jennifer is a dedicated dog rescuer and support person. She has been working in rescue for a number of years and also runs her own dog walking/boarding business in North Van. She works closely with several rescue groups, including ART.
We are grateful to have Jennifer on the ART team, and grateful for the wisdom and perspective she brings to the table during daily operations and also during 2 am phone calls.

We are grateful to have Gisele on the ART team and as a regular foster home for our amazing rescue pups. Her smile and positive attitude always brightens our day!
Our Mission
Our mission as Animal Rescue Team is to work as a non-profit community based organization. We work to rescue and rehome animals in need. Currently we rescue cats, dogs, small mammals, birds and reptiles, either on our own or in collaboration with other rescues. We are committed to integrity, compassion, and flexibility for both animals and people. We believe that by working together, we can achieve more than by working in isolation.
We work from an anti-oppressive framework and are inclusive of all animals/people/families regardless of race, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and so forth.
If you would like to adopt, donate, volunteer or have questions/inquiries, please email us at animalrescue.bc@gmail.com.
