Rehome Post - Pirata

Pirata is a charming and energetic boy! He is approximately 2.5 years old and loves to run, and play fetch (on land and in water!).

Pirata is proud to tell you that he knows basic commands like sit and lie down. He is actively working on more retention related commands like heel, wait, and stay.

Pirata loves people. He is friendly to everyone and greets them with an invitation to scratch his belly. He truly is very charming. Pirata gets along with small dogs and big dogs too but might not be a fan of dominant big dogs.

Pirata’s family brought him home with them from Mexico but due to family illness aren’t able to keep him. He’s had a recent vet check and up to date on vaccines. Please keep comments positive - we also believe this is the best decision for Pirata.

In the house, Pirata can sometimes feel uncertain. He can be defensive if overwhelmed with a lot of people/commotion present, or if he feels the need to guard a room etc. He would do well in a home that is calm, kind and patient, while also giving him lots of exercise and adventure.

Hi friends, We are starting our search for a special home for Marvin….can you help?

Marvin is our newest and sweetest foster dog. He is an approximately 8 year old boy with a heart of gold, but unfortunately his heart is also too big. Read on to learn more….

Marvin is almost the size of a small horse! He doesn’t seem to realize his size and will happily lean in with all his weight for a comforting snuggle, and will happily stretch out on the full couch….leaving you just enough space to sit and watch your movie with his head on your lap. He enjoys being tucked in at night (see the picture! Or better yet will happily join you in bed ).

Marvin is a gentle soul looking for a kind and loving home. Marvin has a genetic heart disease that isn’t causing him problems right now, but based on his bloodwork we think he is likely to start feeling more tired sometime within the next year.

We would like to find Marvin the best home so he can enjoy his last year (or maybe longer!) to the fullest extent. We will cover the reasonable costs of his vet care and medication for the duration of his life. Marvin deserves to not worry and just be able to soak up love, go for ambling walks and be close to people who love him.

Marvin would love a home with a big backyard for him to run and play in. He would prefer a home with no cats, but is easy with other dogs and people. He really loves people! And we’ve recently learned he loves water too

Marvin, We know your special family is out there, and we’ll make sure they find you. I think we’ll know they are the right ones because they will need you just as much as you need them - those are the kind of people you need and deserve right now

Okay, I’m just going to say it…Mila is not just a snake…. Miss Mila - our newest foster snake, is also a very special friend

Mila is both adventurous, social, gentle and kind. Her enclosure was left open accidentally when she first arrived, and she got out (our worst nightmare!), but she was waiting for us nearby, curled up on a few books under our desk. Thanks Mila, and we’ve been reading to her ever since!

Mila would love a home where she gets quite a bit of attention - she’d love to come out and visit daily and would likely enjoy things like swimming and outdoor exploration.

Mila is an approximately 9 year old adult female ball python and comes with her beautiful new enclosure. When feeding she will come out of the tank to eat off the tray if you let her!

Introducing Miss Lori - the loveliest of lovely girls who is looking for her forever home!

Lori is full of love and just an amazing all round dog. She is approximately 2 years old, and 45 lbs. Lori is very smart and understands basic commands. She loves hiking and running and her leash manners are great.

Lori gets a long well with other dogs and ignores cats. She is very comfortable with women and will cuddle up to them immediately. She is a bit shy (but not reactive) towards men at first, but then loving.

She is happiest when she is by your side so is best suited for someone who is home a lot or can bring this bundle of happiness with you. She’s fairly active, very well behaved and happy to chill in the house

Why no love for Xena?!? She is super shy but such a sweet little girl. We know her perfect home is out there waiting for her

Xena is a playful little girl, approximately 16 weeks old, who wants to bring a lot of love and a little bit of sass to your life!

Xena is very shy (but sweet) at first so she’s looking for someone who is okay with that and wants to put in the time to gain her trust. You won’t pet her on your meet and greet, but you can see how she loves her fosters family and cuddles on their laps. She just needs someone who is okay with going slow, while knowing that she will bond strongly and open up in her new home.

Xena loves to play and get belly rubs, and is looking for a special someone to love for a long time.
